Praxis

The therapeutic approach of your orthopedic health practice in Palma is tailored to the patient and their condition and is always individualized, multimodal, and holistic.

No one can describe your condition better than you yourself. Through a detailed consultation and a thorough examination, we determine the individual causes of your symptoms. We take the time we need so that you can describe your situation and your condition in detail.

Once the diagnosis has been made after the examination, there is often more than one treatment method available. Our goal is to take a conservative approach and avoid surgery whenever possible.

We will discuss the options together and select the type of therapy that best suits you. As a complement to conventional medicine, we use alternative medicine therapeutic methods that have proven their effectiveness throughout my many years of experience as an active athlete, certified physical education teacher, and medical specialist in orthopaedics and trauma surgery.

These services are not covered by statutory health insurance in principle. Although we have made several attempts to obtain approval, health insurance coverage for orthopedics is not possible because the specialty is blocked nationwide .

Unfortunately, modern medicine has thus become a form of medicine that must be paid for privately, but in our practice it must be affordable for all patients. A therapy session (first consultation, including examination) usually costs 60 euros.

Through our holistic regenerative therapy, we aim to achieve lasting pain relief or freedom from pain, increased mobility and, with it, an improvement and/or recovery in quality of life.

Advice for athletes

Are you an enthusiastic athlete and would like advice on an equal footing?

As a specialist in orthopedics and trauma surgery, a certified sports instructor, and above all as an athlete myself, I am familiar with the questions that concern competitive athletes:

  • How long after an injury do I have to take a break?
  • Which exercises can and should I start doing, and when?
  • What should I pay particular attention to in my training?
  • What is the ideal nutrition plan for me?
  • Which nutritional supplements are right for me?
  • Body composition analysis (DEXA scan)
  • Static and dynamic whole-body measurement (treadmill analysis – 4D motion lab DIERS)
  • And much more.

In our practice, we have excellent diagnostic tools at our disposal, such as dynamic foot pressure measurement for therapy optimization or the determination of body composition using a full-body scan. This provides us with up to 30 percent more accurate information than traditional body fat analysis scales, which is particularly useful for competitive athletes. When orthopedists advise competitive athletes to give up their sport altogether after an injury, they are not doing their job properly. I offer you my expertise as an athlete and specialist in a confidential consultation on an equal footing—from athlete to athlete.
