Another component of my holistic medicine comes from traditional Chinese medicine. I use conventional needle acupuncture in various strengths and sizes as well as continuous acupuncture with special acupuncture patches. For this distant points, near points or higher-level master points are used, depending on the patient's symptoms.

Nutrition - nutritional medicine

Nutrition not only plays a decisive role in sports medicine, but can also influence almost all (orthopaedic) clinical pictures, in some cases significantly. Numerous symptoms can be caused by malnutrition and/or poor nutrition. Allergic reactions - which are often not even noticed because they have long since become chronic - often play a decisive role. These allergies can be easily detected with a conventional blood test. A saliva sample can also be used to determine the genetic status or hormonal situation. For this purpose, we cooperate with one of the leading laboratories for testing food intolerance. A highly interesting topic for everyone!

Nutrition - nutritional supplements

Nutritional supplements are marketed and consumed in such a way as to reinforce the belief that (peak) athletic performance is only possible with the use of these substances. Many of these substances are said to have anabolic effects, which are supposed to lead to increased performance, particularly in strength and endurance sports. In this context, the marketing of commercial dietary supplements is often based on false and misleading product information, the financial interests of the manufacturers and their effectiveness, which has not been scientifically verified in any way. As the effectiveness, legality and safety of the use of dietary supplements is the subject of controversial debate in the literature, I can provide you with an up-to-date inventory of the dietary supplements on offer and prove and scrutinize their mode of action on the basis of the relevant literature and scientific studies and make a final assessment. To this end, I have written a reference book aimed not only at athletes, but also at doctors, pharmacists, nutritionists and anyone interested in a health-oriented lifestyle.
